Considering he's the 38th highest scoring player in NHL history, I don't know much about Norm Ullman.
Although he scored 1,229 points (490 goals, 739 assists) in 1,410 games and played with Gordie Howe and Ted Lindsay, his name seems to get lost in the shuffle. Despite spending his entire NHL career in two hockey crazy cities (Detroit and Toronto), he does not seem to get the level of respect which he deserves.
An 11-time All-Star, Ullman led the NHL in goals in 1964-65. He had 16 seasons of 20 or more goals and was the 5th player in history to score 1,000 points. Inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982, Norm Ullman ranks as one of the greatest centres to ever play the game.
From 2001-02 Topps Archives comes this authentic hard-signed auto of Norm Ullman in the familiar jersey of the Detroit Red Wings. I acquired the card on eBay for $12 and it's worth noting that there are not a lot of Ullman autographs on the market. This certified Topps issue has a great vintage feel and fits nicely into my collection.
