Dave Taylor spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Kings... but unlike the 2011-12 Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings, Taylor only ever reaching the finals, where he was on the losing side in 1992-93 to the Montreal Canadiens.
Taylor was a member of the Triple Crown line with Charlie Simmer and Marcel Dionne. The line members each scored 100+ points during the 1980-81 season.
Dave Taylor played 1,111 games and scored 1,069 points (431 goals, 638 assists). Unbeknownst to me, Taylor was also a tough customer and racked up more than 1,500 penalty minutes during his career. He is also the lowest-drafted player to compile 1,000 career points, as he was drafted in the 15th round (210th overall) of the 1975 NHL draft.
The only Dave Taylor hard-signed autograph in my collection was pack-pulled almost 10 years ago from 2004-05 Upper Deck Legendary Signatures. A great set, full of many Hall of Famers and memorable names, hobby boxes are extremely hard to find these days. A beautiful card and nice signature, this card can be found for between $5 and $10.
